The video describes finding the greatest common factor and is a preliminary discussion to factoring polynomials.
Here, you’ll learn to factor an expression where we write the expression as a product of its factors. The numbers that form the product are the factors. We note the factor is the reverse of multiplying. Here, we need to factor a number such that the factors are prime numbers. When the factors are prime numbers, this is said to be factored completely.
