Frequency Modulation (FM) Animation – Introduction

Below is a video on FM modulation using HP Agilent interactive demo. The demo will show that varying the modulation will provide a tradeoff between power in the carrier and bandwidth. By selecting the appropriate modulation index you can vary the bandwidth having a pair of sidebands like AM or mulitiple sidebands resulting in wider bandwidth. The modulation index can also be used to distribute most of the power either in the carrier or in the sidebands.
